Silesian Beskids: Wisla Glebice -> Wielki Stozek -> Kiczory
A hike to the Wielki Stozek and Kiczory peaks may be started from the place where the green trail leading from Wisla Glebice separates from Zjazdowa Street. This is where a private, paid and small parking lot is located. You can park your car there, and by the way see a large black and white rooster named Caesar that guards the property. Tip: it's better not to approach Caesar, but you can ask the owner about him :)
The first section of the trail is a road paved with concrete slabs, which over time turns into a wide, medium-steep forest alley. Visibility at the beginning of the trail is limited, but the higher you go the more opportunities you have to admire the panorama. You may reach the Stozek moutain shelter after just an hour. This is the oldest moutain shelter in the Silesian Beskids, and in 2022 it will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Not only lemon tea tastes great here.
From the mountain shelter along the same green trail you can go to the nearby Kiczory peak. The route from the shelter to the Kiczory is very easy, because the half-hour Polish-Czech border trail is led by a wooded ridge of the massif, and there are neither approaches nor descents there. Going to Kiczory it is worth stopping at the viewpoint. It offers a view of a large part of the Czantoria Mountain Range and the Stozek mountain shelter.
Route length: 8.6 km. Total ascent: 501 m. See the map here.
