Cathedral Basilica of Sandomierz

The church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary I was going to photograph last fall, during my previous visit in Sandomierz city. However, the vaults and walls of the southern aisle were under renovation. Today, after a dozen or so years of conservation work, also thanks to funds received from the European Union, this gothic temple erected around 1360 shines again. My attention was primarily drawn to the unique brown, gold and blue colors, richly ornamented organs, numerous paintings and beautiful rib vault. This truly is one of the most beautiful temples in Poland.
